Stephanie is serving 18 months in Salem, Oregon mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She'll be preaching the Gospel in the Spanish language.
After spending two weeks in the MTC (Missionary Training Center) in Provo, Utah, preparing herself to go out into the field, she headed to Salem.

While she's out, she can only make two phone calls to her family each year -- one on Mother's Day and one on Christmas. Otherwise, the only way to get a hold of Stephanie is through e-mail and snail mail. (Missionaries love handwritten letters and packages, FYI.)
